Growing up in the neighbourhood he had, with parents who viewed him as a burden and a mistake. Making a friend, only to have her snatched away when they were separated by schoolhouse rivalry. Joining a madman in the hopes of finding his place. Falling in love, only for her to marry another and perish.
Desperately clinging to life despite the entirety of it feeling like a punishment in the face of death. Beating the odds and recovering where many had perished.
